Jeannette Benjamin has been practicing yoga since 1999 and received her instructor training and certification through SolaLuna Yoga in Oberlin, Ohio in 2011. She enjoys practicing yoga as it compliments her training in martial arts and helps bring a balance between the two arts. Teaching yoga brings her great happiness knowing she can help others reduce stress in their lives, relax their bodies and calm their minds.
In addition to owning LaGrange Yoga, she also is a co-owner of Tiger Martial Arts Academy in LaGrange, Ohio where she teaches Taekwondo, Fitness and Cardio Kickboxing classes. She has studied under Grandmaster William T. Norton (formerly of Norton’s Martial Arts) since 1998. She currently holds a Master Level Fifth Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and also has a Third Degree Black Belt in Hapkido. (See tigermartialarts.net for more information.) Jeannette is also certified in Group Exercise as well as Indoor Cycling, SilverSneakers Classic, SilverSneakers Yoga and Chair Yoga.
