It’s been known that if people workout together, with friends, or even just other people, time seems to go faster; and what once was considered perhaps a “dreadful” part of the day can be flipped into something AWESOME!
Are there days when even I am kinda sluggish getting out of bed – out from the comfort of my bedding – of course! That’s normal. And while it’s totally fine to have a day like that here and there; just remember … your kula needs you.
Yes, you read it correctly — KULA — a Sanskrit word that can be translated as “community,” “clan,” or “tribe.” This word is sometimes used by the yoga community to donate the sense of inclusion and belonging that can be cultivated through yogis coming together to practice.
For me, my kula started with Jackie, Aimee and Sherry. All four of us started practicing several years ago and we are still going strong. I am humbled to say our kula has grown exponentially over the years, with my students becoming the best friends I have ever had! I appreciate every single person who has passed through our doors!
Are you looking for YOUR KULA? Why not give LaGrange Yoga a try and see if you can get the most of your workout, and maybe meet YOUR KULA too!
Namaste,
Jeannette
