“What a difference a year makes.”
That phrase can be used several different ways – good and bad. For some, a year can be a year of growing, learning who you are as a person or maybe even learning to love yourself – flaws and all. Or, for others, a year can be
a time of difficulty. I know in my instance, I am a little of both. While as emotionally and heart-breaking the past year has been, had it not been for yoga, I’m not sure I’d be the strong woman/wife/mom I am today. About a year ago was when Bre and I made the trek to Costa Rica for a yoga retreat. Every day, I am thankful to have had that experience with her. We learned so much about yoga and about each other too.
Every event in our life shapes who we are. We can spend only so much time asking “Why” or “What If” but at the end of the day, what does that accomplish? But through it all, if we are strong and have faith, in the end WE WILL BE OKAY. We HAVE to be OKAY.
And I am here to tell you all … YOU will be OKAY too. If you are hurting or in a place of self-doubt, know that the mat is here for you – as are all yoga instructors. You can only take so much … leave some on the mat.
