Anyone else starting to go a little batty living life via “Shelter-in-Place?”
I know I am!
The first week, I was pumped, thinking how much time I’d have to myself, but now, I am kinda missing all of my yogi students! Plus, I miss my studio! Doing yoga at home has always been my “fall-back-on-plan” but man, sometimes, you just need to see life through a new set of windows! Am I right?
The silver lining in all of this?
SPRING has finally arrived in Ohio.
And while we are to remain “Shelter-in-Place” we can absolutely GET OUTSIDE! Participating in any form of outdoor activity is so good for us now. What about kicking a kickball around the yard with your kids? Soccer ball? Bringing out the t-ball set stashed away in your garage? Putting air in those bike tires, playing catch in the yard or even side-walk chalking!
And of course, walking, running or jogging is good too!
But what about those impending rainy days?
When my kiddos were little, I used rainy days as the perfect opportunity to show them how to cook and do laundry. (Laundry may not SOUND fun at all, but one day they will thank you for teaching them to separate the loads!). Plus, cooking allows for them to use math (cups, teaspoons, tablespoons) and laundry … well, how about learning organizational skills?
Our lives may have been flipped-turned-upside-down, but maybe, just maybe something POSITIVE will come out of this situation.
Love to all, Jeannette
